Kentucky Living has named John James Audubon State Park Museum among the commonwealth’s 2025 “Best in Kentucky” winners.

The state’s most widely read print publication, Kentucky Living, features the 2025 Best in Kentucky award winners in its September issue. The magazine showcases reader choices for the outstanding attractions, businesses, products and people that make Kentucky one-of-a-kind, according to a news release.

This year, Henderson County’s John James Audubon State Park Museum won third place for best museum in Kentucky.

Each winner in Kentucky Living’s 16th Annual Best in Kentucky readers is selected through a process of open nominations in February and voting in May on KentuckyLiving.com.

Winners were announced during the Best in Kentucky Awards Show, streamed on YouTube and Facebook, and hosted by Heather French Henry, on Wednesday, August 13. Winners received their awards the following day at the Kentucky State Fair.

“The Best in Kentucky awards celebrate the people, places and experiences that make our state such a vibrant place to live,” says Chris Perry, president and CEO of Kentucky Electric Cooperatives, the publisher of Kentucky Living. “Co-ops are dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities they serve, and Best in Kentucky is yet another demonstration of that commitment.”
