UPDATE:
The Henderson County Water District has issued a boil water advisory for several homes near the intersection of U.S. 41-South and Kentucky 136-East/Old Robards Road.
Henderson County Water District Superintendent Mark Julian said that a farmer accidently hit a water main near the intersection of U.S. 41-South and Kentucky 136-East/Old Robards Road on Tuesday evening. This caused a water main break.
Repair crews mobilized and worked on the repairs for several hours. Water service was restored to all customers by 12 a.m. Wednesday.
Although no contamination is confirmed or suspected, as a precaution, a boil water advisory is issued until further notice for the following addresses:
- 10247 US Highway 41 South
- 2715 to 2955 Toy Anthoston Road
- 9372 to 9850 KY 136 East
- 9063 to 9307 Anthoston Frog-Island Road
- 3750 to 3841 Old Robards Road
These customers should boil water for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth. Boil water for 1 minute at a rolling boil.
Also, flush cold water taps for several minutes to remove air or discoloration. The boil water advisory is in effect until further notice.
