Henderson County Water District said it plans to interrupt water service for Pleasantview subdivision customers beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4th.
Water service will be interrupted for approximately eight hours as a hydrant is replaced.
Superintendent Mark Julian said there is no other way to replace this hydrant than interrupting water service for a brief time and issuing a boil water advisory. He said the district will make every effort to make this outage as short as possible to limit the inconvenience to customers.
When water service is restored later that same day, the entire subdivision will be under a boil water advisory until satisfactory bacteriological testing confirms that the boil water advisory can be lifted.
Typically, this takes 24 to 48 hours, dependent upon satisfactory bacteriological results. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact HCWD during business hours at 270-826-9802.
When the boil water advisory is lifted, customers will receive a second notice via local media and Hyper-Reach.
Julian thanked customers for their patience and understanding as the district works to improve the infrastructure that it operates and maintains to provide dependable service for customers.
