Henry “Ray” Pippin, Jr., age 80, of Corydon, KY, passed away at 1:41 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Ray was a devote Christian and a member of Corydon Missionary Baptist Church. He was an oil field worker for several years before leaving to accept a job with Hallaburton. Ray decided to take a new position at Rayloc, where he retired after 33 years. He loved the sound of semi-truck engines and after retirement he took a job with Watts Trucking Company as an over-the-road driver.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Marjorie Pippin, Sr., sisters: Janice Herrin, Pam, and Carol Ann Rigdon,  brothers: Robert Pippin, Micki Pippin, and Paul Pippin, and his daughter-in-law Stephanie Pippin.

Ray is survived by his wife of 21 years Cheryl Pippin of Corydon, KY; daughter Stephanie Murray (Corey) of Oklahoma; sons: Timothy Pippin of Henderson, KY, David Lawalin of Oklahoma, and Robert Mabe of Corydon, KY; brothers: Thomas Pippin of Henderson, KY, Johnny Pippin of Henderson, KY, and Jackie Pippin of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ray’s Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Rick O’Daniel officiating. An additional visitation for Ray will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with burial at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY to follow.
