Opal L. Dixon
Opal L. Dixon, 93, of Sebree, KY passed away on Monday November 10th, 2025 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.
She attended Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY. Opal was a Homemaker and was a former member of the Cairo Homemakers Club. She loved being a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an Aunt and was an avid UK Basketball Fan. She was the daughter of the late Melroe “Boots” Weimer and Nina L. Conrad Weimer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Cuz” Dixon, her sister Inez Berrong and 2 nephews Gary and Tommy Berrong.
She is survived by her daughter Doris(Kerry) McClure of Newburgh, IN; her son David(Gala Jo) Dixon of Sebree, KY; a niece Nan(Paul) Laughary of Sebree, KY; 3 grandchildren Stephanie Pleskach, Alex Laughary and Conor McClure; 5 great grandchildren Andrew Pleskach, Chloe Pleskach, Charles Pleskach, Annaleigh Laughary and Elena Laughary; and nieces and nephews Larry Berrong, John Berrong, Ray Berrong and Kay Richey.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 15th, 2025 at 1pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Ron Hampton will officiate. Entombment will be in Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson, KY. Visitation will be from 10am until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.
