The Henderson County Lady Colonels tipped off their preseason with a 44-29 victory over Graves County in a Saturday morning scrimmage at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School.
Senior A’Tylia Green led all scorers with 20 points, while fellow senior Addy Gish added 10. Sophomore Nevaeh Dixon made her presence felt in the paint, finishing with 6 points and 8 rebounds. Junior JaNyla Locher chipped in 4 points, and sophomores Callie Burnett and Maggee Melvin each scored 2.
The game was knotted at 17-17 at halftime before Henderson pulled away in the second half. The Lady Colonels will play their final scrimmage next Saturday, November 22, at Louisville Mercy, before opening the regular season at home on Friday, December 5, against McCracken County.
