Henderson Goodfellows latest donations

Henderson Goodfellows is seeking donations this holiday season.

Once again, the goal is to raise $35,000 to help provide toys and clothes to about 500 local Henderson children this Christmas.

The gifts will be distributed at the annual Goodfellows Christmas party which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 21st at South Middle School. Doors will open at noon.

Volunteers are also needed for boxing day from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 20th at South Middle School.

Goodfellows donations may be mailed to the Henderson Municipal Building at P.O. Box 716, Henderson, KY 42420.

Checks addressed to Henderson Goodfellows may also be dropped off at the Municipal Center during business hours. The Municipal Center is located at 222 First Street in Downtown Henderson.

Checks may also be mailed to Goodfellows at P.O. Box 1711, Henderson, KY 42419.

The City of Henderson will be tabulating how many donations come in and WSON will read the donations aloud on air and publish that information on WSON’s website and social media.

Here are the donations that have been made as of Dec. 8th:

Fred Ray donated $100 in memory of Judy Ray.

David and Arlene Alexander donated $200.

Melanie Humbert, Vern, Jamie, Laurel, Andre, and Madeline donated $100 in memory of Bobby Liles.

Anonymous donated $350.

Henderson General Baptist Church donated $50.

Ross and Erin Scott donated $250.

Anonymous donated $50 in memory of Charles R. Hancock.

Anonymous donated $100 in memory of Marvin and Katherine Hancock.

Terry and Maudeen Russell donated $100.

Richard and Janet Curby donated $200.

Total Raised as of Dec. 8th: $8,845.

Goal: $35,000.
