Planned water outage scheduled for Reed customers Wednesday

This planned water outage is necessary to install a new gate valve to improve system reliability and fix a leaking valve. The planned outage will last an estimated 6 to 8 hours.

Please be advised that customers in the following areas will be affected by this scheduled outage and boil water advisory tomorrow at 8am:

  • 11352 Old US 60
  • 6502 – 6597 Peters Road
  • 5020 Lock & Dam #1 Road
  • 12514 US Hwy 60 East
  • 19930 – 20284 KY-811
  • 10528 – 10673 West Pikes Landing

Crews will work as efficiently as possible to complete the project and to minimize the amount of time water service is interrupted.

When water service is restored, all customers affected by this outage will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.

During the boil water advisory, customers should bring water used for drinking, food preparation, brushing teeth, or washing dishes to a rolling boil for at least one minute, then allow it to cool before use, or use bottled water.

Once satisfactory bacteriological sample results are obtained and confirm that the water is safe to drink, the boil water advisory will be lifted, and a follow‑up notice will be issued.

Henderson County Water District said it appreciates your patience and cooperation while this important work is completed and encourages customers to make arrangements in advance of the outage if possible.
