It’s not the movie “Home Alone” but some of the details about a real-life burglary sound suspiciously like the classic holiday film.
Evansville Police Department said that officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Pueblo Pass in reference to a burglary in progress on Monday.
The 911 caller reported their child was home alone and an unknown male entered the home, according to a news release.
The suspect entered through a rear door before going upstairs. While upstairs, the suspect reportedly used the bathroom before opening the child’s bedroom door.
Police said there was no interaction between the suspect and the child while he was in the house.
Evansville Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for the burglary suspect.
He is described as a bald male wearing a black puffy coat, light-colored pants and boots.
Residents in the area are reminded to secure their residences and be on the lookout for a male matching this description.
If you see anything suspicious, dial 911 immediately.
