Henderson County put on a complete performance Friday night, cruising past district rival Union County 68-17 at home.

The Lady Colonels wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to a 27-4 lead after the first quarter behind 10 early points from JaNyla Locher. Henderson carried a 43-12 advantage into halftime and put the running clock in motion during the third quarter, stretching the lead to 59-14 after three.

Defense was the story throughout, as Henderson allowed just two made field goals in the entire second half.

Locher led all scorers with 14 points. Addy Gish followed with 13, including a pair of three-pointers. Nevaeh Dixon and Maggee Melvin each scored eight, Jersey Gardner added seven, and A’Tylia Green chipped in six. Bella Estabrook finished with three, while Saylor Brown, Estelle Erbst, Kenley Evans, and Pacey Parker each had two. McKinley Black rounded out the scoring with one point.

Henderson County improves to 13-7 on the season and is back in action Monday night at home, hosting Hopkinsville at 7:30 p.m.
