Wesley “Wes” Scott Kerr, age 43, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the UofL Hospital in Louisville Ky., under the care of the amazing nurses and staff, after a yearlong hard fight with cancer.

Born December 17, 1982, in Henderson, Ky. Wes was the son of Glenn and Bonnie Kerr.

Wes was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and an adult Sunday School class teacher. He loved watching and listening to his daughter Ally sing and cheering on his daughter Eva at the ballfield. Wes loved to woodwork and travel with his family. Wes was a big UK Wildcat fan.

In addition to his parents, Wes is survived by his wife, Melody Kerr, his two daughters, Allyson “Ally” Kerr and Evalynn “Eva” Kerr, one sister, Amy Hagan (Chris), nieces and nephews, Cameron Hagan (Frances), Hunter Hagan (Lilli Ann), Drew Hagan, and Mallory Hagan, his father -in- law and mother -in- law, Sammy and Lisa Southard, and sister -in- law, Haley Woods (Derek).

Visitation will be Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Friday January 30, 2026 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Eastwood Baptist Church Alvaton Campus.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, January 30, 2026 beginning at 11:00 AM at Eastwood Baptist Church Alvaton Campus, followed by burial in the Bowling Green Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Eastwood Baptist Church Building Fund.

Pallbearers will be Chris Hagan, Cameron Hagan, Drew Hagan, Hunter Hagan, Derek Woods, Ian Miller, Michael Ramage, and Ryan Johnson.
