Henderson County defeated the Webster County Trojans 67-52 on Tuesday night at Colonel Gym on Senior Night.
Henderson led 14-10 after the first quarter, 35-22 at halftime, and 48-32 after three.
Both Henderson seniors played well as Braden Williams finished with 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks, while Travis Little added 9 points. Amare Stewart led the way with 15 points. MaLaikye Taylor had 12, Xavion Johnson finished with 11, and Zayden Martin added 7. Wyatt Townsend knocked down a three, and JahMarion Isabel chipped in 2.
Henderson shot 11-13 from the free throw line and 6-12 from three-point range. Webster County went 16-25 at the line and 4-9 from beyond the arc. Each team committed 12 turnovers, while Henderson won the rebounding battle 30-23.
Henderson — now riding a season-high five-game winning streak — is back in action Friday night at 7:30pm on the road at Union County.
