Kenneth Dale Ballard, age 64, of Henderson, KY, passed away at his home on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Kenneth was a proud veteran of the United States Military. He served in the Navy and was active during the Global War on Terror. Kenneth worked at Red Spot Paint and Varnish Company for more than a decade where he was well respected. He was an avid model builder; fine scale models were his passion. He specialized in armored vehicles and wartime air and land craft. Kenneth was extremely witty and well read. He was hyper intelligent and had an answer to any question. He was known for his ability to quote any line from a movie he only saw once or could recall the most random trivia. Kenneth was a firearms enthusiast and an excellent shot. He was a good man, a reliable brother, and a great father.

He was preceded in death by his father Dwight Zane Ballard and his step-father Kurt Dold.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter Amber Phoebe Barnes (Dylan) of Morganfield, KY; son Andrew Ballard (Kendall) of Chattanooga, TN; his mother Dolly Dee Dold Ritter (Merle); sister Cathy Lynn Dutt (John) of Rockwell, TX; brother Keith Ballard (Wanda) of Henderson, KY; several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Kenneth’s Life Celebration from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Monday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
