GUTHRIE, Ky. – An Elkton man is accused of murder following a shooting that occurred Sunday morning in Guthrie.

Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville said they received reports regarding an adult male lying in the roadway on Springmont Circle who appeared to have suffered from gunshot wounds.

Jerell Edmonds, 24, of Elkton, was identified as the suspect responsible for the death of Evan Hall, 24, of Guthrie. A second victim was also on scene and appeared to have sustained injuries from Edmonds.

Troopers arrested and charged Edmonds with murder, fourth-degree assault, and possession of marijuana. Edmonds was transported and lodged in the Todd County Jail.

This investigation is ongoing and is being led by Detective Jacob Stephens U/1216. No further details are available at this time.
