Evansville Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the unit block of Kimber Lane at noon Tuesday in reference to shots fired. Multiple 911 callers reported shots fired in the area and that a person was down on the sidewalk.
Officers arrived and located a man on the sidewalk. He was transported to a local hospital, where he did not survive his injuries.
Investigators have been able to identify a suspect in this incident. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Evansville Police Department Adult Investigation Unit at 812-436-7979.
