A Nortonville man is accused of shooting a Todd County man over the weekend in Muhlenberg County.
Muhlenberg County Dispatch contacted Kentucky State Police at approximately 6:59 Saturday regarding multiple calls reporting a man with a firearm making threats on Beech Creek Road in Beech Creek.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Harvey Lear, 62, of Nortonville, is suspected of shooting a man from Todd County. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Lear was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence, and false report of an incident resulting in an emergency response
