Department of Medicaid Services announces planned maintenance outage for EVV system

The Department for Medicaid Services (DMS) is notifying 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver providers of a planned outage for maintenance on the Netsmart Mobile Caregiver+ Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system.

The planned outage is scheduled to begin Saturday, April 1, at 9 p.m. Eastern (8 p.m. CST) and last until Sunday, April 2, at 2 a.m. Eastern (1 a.m. CST). The Mobile Caregiver+ mobile app will operate in offline mode only during this time period.

If your agency has visits scheduled between 9 p.m. Eastern on Saturday and 2 a.m. Eastern on Sunday, please be aware of the following:

The visit or visits needs to be scheduled in advance of the outage.

The paid caregiver needs to be logged into the Mobile Caregiver+ app before 9 p.m. Eastern on April 1 to allow the scheduled visits to download.
Completing these steps will allow paid caregivers to complete any visits in offline mode during the outage. Instructions for using the Mobile Caregiver+ app in offline mode are available at https://bit.ly/kyevvofflinemode.

The Netsmart Mobile Caregiver+ Portal will be unavailable during the majority of the maintenance window. The portal will display an outage message when it is unavailable.

If you have questions about this outage, please contact Netsmart Customer Support at 833-483-5587.
