HENDERSON, Ky. –The Preston Arts Center (PAC), located on the campus of Henderson Community College
(HCC), invites the public to the opening reception of the Joshua Hicks exhibit on May 23, 2023, beginning at 5 p.m.
The exhibit is open now through July 1, 2023, in the Scott Foyer of the PAC. The public can view the exhibit Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mr. Hicks began his work in the field of character design, creative writing and storytelling through comic books in 1998 while majoring in Fine Arts at HCC. He credits professors Tony Strawn and Cathi Blackburn for giving him an outlet to discover his passion which has been his focus ever since.
He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design from the University of Southern Indiana and has published several comic books throughout his career. Mr. Hicks currently works in the genealogy department of the Henderson County Public Library where he enjoys helping people discover their roots and unique family stories.
Mr. Hicks will be available during the reception on May 23 to answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.
