An Evansville native has been arrested on charges in connection with distribution of fentanyl that resulted in the death of a Henderson teenager.

Henderson Police Department responded to a call about an unresponsive teenager on October 17th.  Henderson Police Chief Sean McKinney said police found Cash O’Nan, 17, of Henderson, deceased in his bedroom.  Authorities suspected it was a fentanyl overdose.

Evidence found through investigation linked O’Nan’s death to Evansville native Austin Jenkins, according to McKinney.  The Drug Enforcement Agency has charged Jenkins with distribution of fentanyl resulting in death.

“We will not tolerate drug trafficking in our community,” said McKinney. “We will continue to vigorously investigate and arrest drug traffickers. We would like for the public to work with us and reach out to us if you have information that would help us in this endeavor.”
