Central City, Ky. (November 16, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle fatal collision on KY 1379 near Central City on Thursday around 9:59 a.m. CT.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 2002 International truck tractor being operated by 32-year-old Abelardos Bartolon-Lopez of Sacramento KY, was traveling West on KY 1379 when for an unknown reason the commercial vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
The Muhlenberg Coroner pronounced Bartolon-Lopez deceased at the scene.
Bartolon-Lopez was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
Officer First Class John Sweeney is investigating and was assisted by other members of the Kentucky State Police and Muhlenberg County Coroner
