Goodfellows needs help from the community to reach its fundraising goal.
Organizer Richard Pendergraft said the nonprofit is just about halfway to its $35,000 goal with only a few days left before the annual Christmas party where clothing and toys will be distributed to about 500 Henderson children.
Donations can be mailed to the Henderson Municipal Building at P.O. Box 716 Henderson, KY 42419 or dropped off at the drive-thru during business hours. It may also be mailed to Goodfellows at P.O. Box 1711, Henderson, KY 42419.
The City of Henderson is compiling a list of donors that WSON will read on air during the Henderson Report and during the Steve and Ginger Morning Show.
The Goodfellows Christmas Party will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at South Middle School. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help put the clothing and toys in gifts on Saturday. Sacking Day begins at 8 a.m. at South Middle School.
