The Henderson County Water District has issued a boil water advisory for most of the community of Baskett.
Henderson County Water District Superintendent Mark Julian said the boil water advisory is related to the district undertaking necessary repairs for a water main break in Baskett. As part of this work, water service will be interrupted for most of the community of Baskett.
As a precaution, a boil water advisory has been issued for the following areas in Baskett: From the intersection of Kentucky 1078-N on Dr. Hodge Road to the end of Dr. Hodge Road at Tscharner Road. This includes Baskett Alley Road, Church Street, Maple Street, Carson Drive, Railroad Street, First Avenue, and Second Street.
Work is ongoing and when water service is restored. These areas will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
Please boil all water used for human consumption to a rolling boil for three to five minutes. The estimated time that the boil water advisory will be in effect is subject to satisfactory bacteriological testing. A second notice will be issued when the boil water advisory is lifted.
