A man’s body has been recovered from the shore of the Ohio River in Henderson.
Officials say that a call came into 911 at 10:46 a.m. Monday. The caller said they saw a body lying on the ground and not responding.
Henderson Police Department responded and then contacted Henderson Fire Department to respond as well with their boat, since officers were not able to reach him by shore. Sgt. Bill Russell said the body was on the bank and not in the river.
Emergency Medical Services and the Henderson County Coroner’s Office also responded.
Officials have not yet identified the person.
HPD detectives are working with the Henderson County Coroner’s Office on an investigation.
