A portion of U.S. 41 was shut down temporarily on Wednesday morning following a collision involving a semi-truck and a motorcycle.
Henderson Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Bill Russell said that there was an accident with injuries on Wednesday morning involving a semi versus a motorcycle.
Both vehicles were traveling north on U.S. 41 when the semi attempted to take a wide turn on Marywood Drive. The motorcycle was traveling behind the semi and could not stop in time, colliding with the side of the semi.
Russell said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for serious injuries and the semi-truck driver was also transported to the hospital for routine bloodwork. Neither of the operators were identified.
