City to begin scheduled Fall Street milling and paving

Work will be done over two to three weeks, but the schedule is subject to change as it is influenced by weather conditions and other factors. This work was originally slated to begin in September.

Paving is scheduled to take place October 23rd, 2024 through October 25th, 2024.

Temporary closures and/or delays may occur during construction. It may be best to avoid these streets where possible. Residents are asked to have all vehicles moved from the street by 6 a.m. each day until the work is completed.

If road closures are required, detours will be set up. There will be flaggers and/or signs to direct traffic during construction.

Here is a list of streets on the work list:

• 6^th Street from North Adams Street to Lambert Street
• 14^th Street from North Elm Street to North Green Street
• Frontier Drive from U.S. Highway 60 East to Tippecanoe Trail
• Garden Mile Road from Airline Road to the Archery Center’s gravel lot
• Harding Avenue from North Green Street to North Adams Street
• North Julia Street from 1^st Street to Center Street
• Spring Garden Road from 2^nd Street to Heather Lane
• Stadium Drive from Garden Mile Road to Gardengate Drive
• Washington Street from McKinley Avenue to North Lincoln Avenue
