Lady Colonels Advance with Road Win at ACS

The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a, 55-33, win against the Allen County-Scottsville Lady Patriots on the road in the semifinals of the Lady of the South Invitational Tournament at Allen County-Scottsville High School in Scottsville, Kentucky, last night.

The leading scorers for the Lady Patriots was Debora Patrick with 8 points and 4 rebounds while Aubrie Naiser had 7 points and 4 assists. Addison Law had 6 points and 4 rebounds while Brooklyn Oliver had 4 points. Riley Roy scored 4 points and 3 rebounds while Kyra Marr had 2 points. To round out the scoring, Allison Ford added 2 points and 4 rebounds on the night.

The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was A’Tylia Green with 21 points, 12 steals, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists while Brooklyn Gibson had 15 points and 4 rebounds. Anna Kemp had 11 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals while Rashia Cansler had 5 points and 3 steals. To round out the scoring, Addy Gish had 3 points, 8 steals, and 4 assists on the night.

The Lady Patriots shot 14 for 17 (82%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 9 for 12 (75%). The Lady Patriots shot 1 for 10 (10%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 4 for 17 (24%). The Lady Patriots had a total of 27 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 26 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 15 assists, 29 steals, and 2 blocks. The Lady Patriots committed 39 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 20 turnovers on the night.

The Lady Colonels improve to (9-2) on the season while the Lady Patriots fall to (6-4). The Lady Colonels next game is  tonight, December 30th, against the Franklin County Lady Flyers in the Championship Game of the Lady of the South Invitational Tournament with the tipoff set for 6:00 P.M.
