The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a big, 65-42, win against the Mount Carmel Golden Aces from Mount Carmel, Illinois at home last night.
The leading scorers for the Golden Aces was Maycee Randall with 13 points and 4 rebounds while Riley Hershey had 11 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Evie Sellers had 5 points while Alivia Peach had 5 points and 3 rebounds. Evie Knapp had 3 points while Madison Stevens had 2 points. Madeline Mann had 2 points and 4 rebounds while Zoie Randall added 1 point on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was A’Tylia Green with 19 points, 6 steals, and 5 assists while Allyson Rideout had 17 points and 6 rebounds. Anna Kemp had 7 points, 6 steals, and 3 rebounds while Azayah Hall had 5 points and 3 rebounds. Rashia Cansler had 5 points while Brooklyn Gibson tallied 4 points and 4 assists. Addy Gish added 4 points and 3 assists. To round out the scoring, JaNyla Locher added 4 points and 4 steals on the night.
The Golden Aces shot 7 for 11 (64%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 1 for 2 (50%). The Golden Aces shot 3 for 6 (50%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 6 for 15 (40%). The Golden Aces had a total of 23 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 18 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 18 assists, 23 steals, and 2 blocks. The Golden Aces committed 30 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 10 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (12-3) on the season while the Golden Aces fall to (15-4).
