The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a big, 48-43, win against the Breckinridge County Lady Tigers at home on Saturday night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Tigers was Elizabeth Grimes with 16 points and 4 rebounds while Kayleigh Huffines had 12 points and 9 rebounds. Josie Mitcham had 6 points and 9 rebounds while Rowan Radaszewski had 5 points. To round out the scoring, Kylie Carby added 4 points on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was Brooklyn Gibson with 25 points and 9 rebounds while Allyson Rideout had 7 points and 6 rebounds. Anna Kemp had 5 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals while Addy Gish had 5 points. A’Tylia Green had 4 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds while Rashia Cansler tallied 2 points on the night.
The Lady Tigers shot 15 for 16 (64%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 15 for 21 (71%). The Lady Tigers shot 2 for 13 (15%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 3 for 14 (21%). The Lady Tigers had a total of 27 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 28 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 10 assists, 11 steals, and a block. The Lady Tigers committed 16 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 10 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (13-3) on the season while the Lady Tigers fall to (13-3).
