Colonels Clinch Top Seed with Win at Webster

The Colonels came away with a, 56-40, win against the Webster County Trojans on the road last night. With the win the Colonels have clinched the 1 seed in the 6th District Tournament and a guaranteed spot in the 2nd Region Tournament.

The leading scorers for the Trojans was Aiden Alstadt with 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists while Evan Davis had 9 points. Micah Austin had 9 points and 4 rebounds while Trace Hardison had 6 points and 3 rebounds. Reid McDyer tallied 3 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists while Kahner Phelps added 3 points on the night.

The leading scorers for the Colonels was Dwaine Moss with 15 points while Elijah Suggs scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Cooper Davenport had 9 points and 4 rebounds while Xavion Johnson had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. Lacon McKinney tallied 8 points and 5 rebounds while Trajdon Davis added 2 points and 4 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Amare Stewart had 2 points on the night.

The Trojans shot 9 for 19 (47%) from the 3 point line to the Colonels 3 for 7 (43%). The Trojans shot 1 for 1 (100%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 5 for 9 (56%). The Trojans had a total of 18 rebounds while the Colonels had 27 total rebounds. The Colonels tallied 11 assists, 2 steals, and 7 blocks. The Trojans committed 5 turnovers to the Colonels committing 3 turnovers on the night.

The Colonels improve to (17-5) on the season while the Trojans fall to (7-14).
