William L. Rose
William L. Rose, age 83, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 7:03 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Redbanks Nursing Home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Bill was a United States Army Veteran. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed remodeling projects. Bill loved dogs, especially his two grand-dogs Atlas and Sophie. He was a Stephen King fan. He looked forward to going to Eastgate Restaurant to eat. Bill always enjoyed meeting new people and never met a stranger.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Hill, his wife Judy Rose, sister Sandy Hill, and brother Edward Hill.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Kitty Wusstig (Steve) of St. Louis, MO, Milissa Sheeley (Harry) of Henderson, KY, Kendra Rose of Henderson, KY, and Amy Rose of Henderson, KY; sons Kelly Rose (Michelle) of Henderson, KY and James Rose of Henderson, KY; brother Randall Hill, Jr. of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren: Lauren Haire, Kinsley Sheeley, Erich Wusstig, and Ella Sheeley; great-grandchildren Arielle Hairlson and Ky’ Lan Ross; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bill’s Life Celebration from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Thursday at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Jack Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.

Pearl Gladys Butler
Pearl Gladys Butler, age 84, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 3:36 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson.
Pearl was a CNA for several years at area nursing homes. She later worked as a private sitter for elderly people in Henderson County. Pearl had an outgoing and fun-loving personality. She could make anyone laugh. Pearl enjoyed listening to gospel and Christian music. She loved hearing all about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents Gastel and Elizabeth Higgs, husband Paul R. Butler, brother Paul Ray Higgs, sister Linda, son Paul Duane Butler, and daughter Theresa Butler.
Pearl is survived by her daughter Vicki Patton of Woodlawn, TN; sister Joyce Smith of Tunica, MS; brother Billy Ray Higgs of Poole, KY; sister-in-law Holly Butler of Henderson, KY; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
