Braves Dominate Glass to End Trojans Season

The Union County Braves came away with a, 66-48, win against the Webster County Trojans in the semifinals of the 6th District Tournament in Morganfield last night.

The leading scorers for the Trojans was Micah Austin with 12 points and 5 rebounds while Evan Davis had 11 points. Kahner Phelps had 11 points while Aiden Alstadt had 10 points and 3 rebounds. Trace Hardison had 2 points and 4 rebounds while Reid McDyer added 2 points and 3 rebounds on the night.

The leading scorers for the Braves was Daishawn Curry with 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists while Cale Johnson scored 15 points and grabbed 3 rebounds. Cameron Miller had 8 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists while Jayden Wilson had 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Cortayvion Rapier tallied 8 points and 5 rebounds while Gavyn Black contributed 6 points and 3 rebounds on the night.

The Trojans shot 4 for 16 (25%) from the 3 point line to the Braves 5 for 19 (26%). The Trojans shot 10 for 14 (71%) from the free throw line to the Braves 9 for 11 (82%). The Trojans had a total of 21 rebounds while the Braves had 41 total rebounds. The Trojans committed 6 turnovers to the Braves committing 9 turnovers on the night.

The Braves improve to (15-9) on the season while the Trojans season ends with a (10-18) record.
