FRANKFORT, KY. (Feb. 26, 2025) Senate Bills 25 (SB 25) and 50 (SB 50), sponsored by Sen. Robby Mills, R-Henderson, have advanced out of committee. These bills stem from the work of the Housing Task Force, which Mills co-chaired during the interim, and aim to address critical housing issues in Kentucky.
“Access to quality, affordable housing is a growing challenge across our state, and these bills provide real solutions,” said Mills. “Over the interim, the Housing Task Force worked diligently to identify key barriers to housing development and affordability. SB 25 and SB 50 are the result of that effort, and I’m proud to see them moving forward.”
SB 25 and SB 50 focus on regulatory reform, local development incentives, and addressing barriers to housing growth. The measures reflect recommendations from the Housing Task Force, which studied housing shortages and affordability concerns.
Both bills now await further action in the Senate. Stay updated on their progress at Legislature.ky.gov.
