The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a, 66-31, win against the Crittenden County Lady Rockets in the Championship of the 2nd Region Tournament at Christian County High School in Hopkinsville on Saturday night.
The Lady Colonels win their 21st 2nd Region Championship and their 7th straight.
The leading scorers for the Lady Rockets was Anna Boone with 15 points and 4 rebounds while Jordyn Hodge had 7 points. Andrea Federico tallied 4 points and 4 rebounds while Georgia Holeman added 3 points. To round out the scoring, Elliot Evans contributed 2 points and 5 rebounds on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was A’Tylia Green with 18 points, 4 steals, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds while Brooklyn Gibson had 17 points and 3 rebounds. Addy Gish had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 5 assists while Allyson Rideout had 8 points and 10 rebounds. Jersey Gardner had 6 points while Anna Kemp tallied 3 points and 9 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Rashia Cansler contributed 3 points on the night.

The Lady Rockets shot 11 for 16 (69%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 12 for 18 (67%). The Lady Rockets shot 2 for 9 (22%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 6 for 16 (38%). The Lady Rockets had a total of 25 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 36 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 14 assists, 2 blocks, and 14 steals. The Lady Rockets committed 16 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 12 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (27-5) on the season while the Lady Rockets end their season with a (23-8) record.
The Lady Colonels will face off against the Marshall County Lady Marshals on Thursday night, March 13th, in the opening round of the State Tournament at Rupp Arena in Lexington with the tip off set for 5 P.M. (Central Time)
