I-69 ORX Work in Henderson to be Complete This Year

Work on Section 1 of the I-69 Ohio River Crossing (ORX), the approach work in Henderson, is expected to be complete this year. The 2025 I-69 ORX Section 1 Construction GuideĀ  provides a quick snapshot of what to expect the rest of this year.

A new interchange at US 60 is expected to open this summer. It includes three roundabouts.

The two roundabouts to the west provide access on and off I-69 and carry traffic east and west along US 60. The eastern roundabout will connect Tillman Bethel Road with US 60.

A nearly two-mile stretch of future I-69 (US 41 to US 60) will open to traffic later this year.

Final work on the KY 351/2nd Street interchange includes finishing touches on the three roundabouts, a gateway sign for the City of Henderson, plantings, and the completion of the new US 41 overpass bridges over KY 351/2nd Street.

The Adams Lane bridge is being reconstructed and is expected to reopen this spring. The Airline Road bridge will also be reconstructed with work expected to begin this spring and be complete this summer. The former KY 2084 interchange is also being removed and regraded.
