Henderson Police have arrested a man accused of threatening a city employee at the Henderson City Building on Monday.
Police said they were called to the scene Monday after a dispute between Dalton L. Burden, 28, and a city employee. The employee said Burden was upset about a billing issue and used derogatory language towards them.
Burden left the office and walked out of the building. A second employee who had witnessed the incident walked out at the same time.
The witness told officers that Burden said he would be back and was going to bring a gun. Another witness also said they heard Burden comment about a gun.
Burden was gone when the officers arrived.
After obtaining an arrest warrant, officers located Burden on Tuesday morning at a local address.
Burden was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree disorderly conduct.
He was booked into the Henderson County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Presumption of Innocence Notice: The fact that a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
