Henderson woman accused of making swatting calls


“Swatting” call leads to the arrest of Henderson woman.

At 10 p.m. Friday, May 2, Henderson 911 dispatchers received a call from Angela Duncan, 35 of Henderson.

Duncan said a neighbor was armed with a knife and was cutting herself, according to police. Duncan also said the neighbor made threats to kill herself and her pets.

Police and paramedics were dispatched to the address in the 700 block of Short 7th Street and given the information provided by Duncan.

Once on scene, Officers treated the incident as a possible hostile environment. Officers were able to determine there was no self-harm or threats of harm involving Duncan’s neighbor.

While attempting to speak with Duncan about the 911 call, she was uncooperative and refused to stop screaming despite being warned about her disorderly conduct.

Officers believe the statements made by Duncan were false and she knew them to be false when she called 911.

Duncan was arrested for:

  • KRS: 519.040 Falsely Reporting an Incident (Enhancement)
  • KRS: 525.060 Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree

Duncan was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center. She is being held on a $550 bond.
