UPDATE: Henderson County Water District lifts boil water advisory for Spottsville area customers


UPDATE: Henderson County Water District has lifted the boil water advisory for Chaney, Farley and Hatchett Mill Roads in Spottsville.
It was lifted as of 12:47pm. Wednesday.
Customers may resume normal use and do not need to boil water used for human consumption.

Henderson County Water District has issued a boil water advisory for Spottsville area customers.
The boil water advisory was issued due to a loss of service related to contractor damage in the Spottsville area.
Crews are on site making emergency repairs. Work will be completed as soon as possible. The customers affected are from:
6152 – 6997 Chaney Rd.,
8988 – 9337 Farley Rd., and
7016 to 6321 Hatchett Mill Rd.
While no contamination has occurred, as a precaution, when water service is restored, these customers will be under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice.
These customers are advised to boil all water used for human consumption at a rolling boil for 3-5 minutes.
Samples will be collected as soon as possible. The BWA will be in effect for as long as necessary dependent upon satisfactory bacteriological results.
Please flush cold water taps for a few minutes to flush any air or discolored water.

Henderson County Water District said it appreciates customers’ patience while they are diligently working to restore service to the affected customers.
