Brenda Powell

 

Brenda Powell, age 72, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at her home.

 

Brenda was a faithful member of Abundant Life Church. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Jay Beard for 10 years before her retirement. Brenda was a beautiful person inside and out. She enjoyed encouraging others and bringing a little bit of sunshine to their lives. Brenda loved her family and was always the life of the party. She was always supporting the “underdogs” she encountered throughout her life.

 

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Joseph “Joe” and Peggy Schwartz, her husband Virgil David Powell, siblings Robert “Bobby” Joseph Schwarts (Paula) and Glen “Yogi” Allen Schwartz (Traci).

 

Brenda is survived by her son Brian Powell of Henderson, KY; step-daughter Holly Powell of Henderson, KY; brother Bill Schwartz (Barbara) of Henderson, KY; sisters Katrina Tooley (Ray) of Evansville, IN, and Donna Keller (Mike) of Dixon, KY; aunt Joyce Mitchell of Mt. Vernon, IN; uncles Harold Watson of Raleigh, NC and Rick Watson of Missouri; 3 grandchildren: Luci Bennett, Laci Harris, and Madeline Pindara; 1 great-grandson Morgan Steward; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Brenda’s Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Abundant Life Church, 5540 US Hwy 41-A, Henderson KY, 42420. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with Pastor Darrell Powell officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Abundant Life Church in memory of Brenda Powell, 5540 US Hwy 41-A, Henderson KY, 42420.
