Planning Underway for Lions 2025 Arts and Crafts Festival

Henderson Lions are preparing for what has been called one of the biggest festivals in the area – The Henderson Lions Arts and Crafts Festival at Audubon State Park.  This year’s dates are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4-5.

The cost to enter is $5 to park your vehicle. There is plenty of parking available in the park and shuttles will be running to carry people throughout the park, according to a news release.

Last year, well over 100 craft vendors were on hand. Just a few of the items they had for sale included stained glass, wood crafts, quilts, jewelry, handmade toys and dolls, paintings and prints, candles, soaps, children’s toys, baked goods, wreaths, kitchen items, along with handmade fall, Halloween and Christmas decorations.

The vendors are spread throughout Audubon State Park in a beautiful setting that is always a great place to visit in early fall. All kinds of food vendors are available, and you can usually find BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs, Asian and Mexican food, popcorn and kettle corn.

This year will be the 10th time the Henderson Lions have put on the festival. The event started in the mid-1970’s as the Big Rivers Arts and Crafts Festival. At one time, it attracted more than 20,000 people to the park.

Money raised stays in Henderson and promotes eye conservation, including eyeglasses and eye surgeries for those who cannot afford them, and eye screening for children in grades 1,3,5, 7 in Henderson County Schools, as well as scholarships for local high school seniors and grants to local non-profit groups.

Craft vendors will pay $135 and food vendors will pay $190 for a spot at Audubon State Park.
