HENDERSON, Ky. — United Way of Henderson County invites the community to lace up their sneakers and join the fun at its first-ever Kickball Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Deaconess Henderson SportsPlex.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with pool play from 8 to 11 a.m. and a single-elimination tournament from noon to 3 p.m.
Funds raised will support United Way’s annual campaign, with dollars reallocated to Henderson County nonprofits delivering proven programs in health, financial stability, education and workforce development.
“This is a great way for people to come together, have fun and support real impact in our community,” said Kelsi Dunham Johnston, executive director of United Way of Henderson County. “Every dollar raised helps us invest in programs that improve lives right here in Henderson.”
Team Details:
- Co-ed teams of 10 to 15 players (minimum of 9)
- All players must be 18 or older
- $300 per team

Sponsorships are available for $400 and include one team entry, the company’s logo on the event T-shirt and recognition on United Way’s social media platforms.
This tournament builds on United Way of Henderson County’s growing momentum. Just last month, the organization returned more than $283,000 to 24 local nonprofits, a 56.8% increase in funding compared to the previous year.
“Whether you’re kicking, catching or cheering from the sidelines, you’re helping fund programs that change lives,” said Riley Hamilton, campaign committee chair. “We’re excited to add this new event to our efforts to bring people together for a great cause.”
