Henderson County dropped a hard-fought 61-60 decision in their final preseason scrimmage Saturday at Louisville Mercy, a perennial Region 6 contender. The game was tight from start to finish, with neither team able to create much separation.
Senior A’Tylia Green led the Lady Colonels with 17 points, while sophomores Jersey Gardner and Nevaeh Dixon added 14 and 10 points, respectively. Henderson played without senior point guard Addy Gish, who sat out to rest a sore back.
The Lady Colonels will now turn their attention to the regular season opener on Friday, December 5, when they host McCracken County.
