Evansville man indicted on murder charge in connection with Henderson woman's death

A Henderson County Grand Jury has indicted an Evansville man in connection with the death of a Henderson woman.

Brian A. Rodgers, 49, of Evansville, has been indicted on the following charges in connection with the death of Kristina Robinson, 35, of Henderson:

  • Murder
  • Abuse of a Corpse
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Tampering with a Witness
  • First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (second or greater offense)
  • First-degree persistent felony offender.

Rodgers is currently incarcerated in the Knox County, Indiana Jail on unrelated charges. He will remain there until he is extradited to Henderson.

In November, HPD said it was pursuing a death investigation involving a woman whose body was initially located in Indiana.

The investigation began after a Robinson’s body was located at Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife area in Indiana. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Kristina Robison.

Investigation efforts revealed that the death occurred in Henderson, shifting the focus of the investigation to across the river.

Detectives learned that the person of interest became startled and took Robison to Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife area and left her, according to HPD. The body of Robison was subsequently located in the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife area.

He was later located and arrested for unrelated drug charges and his outstanding warrants.

In a news release issued Wednesday, Henderson Police Department said there will be no further information released at this time.
