Homeplace of Henderson Selected for Documentary Highlighting Compassionate Long-Term Care

Henderson, KY — March 20, 2026— Homeplace of Henderson will be featured in the upcoming documentary, “People Worth Caring About.”

Homeplace of Henderson is one of only two assisted living communities in Kentucky to be featured in the documentary, which is in partnership with the Kentucky Coalition for Aging Resources and Empowerment.

This meaningful project shines a light on the profound impact of compassionate caregiving and the deep connections formed within long-term care environments, according to a news release.

Known throughout the region for its nurturing spirit, Homeplace of Henderson stands as a model of warmth, dignity, and family-centered care. The documentary’s creators were drawn to Homeplace not only for its high standards of care, but for the genuine sense of belonging experienced by residents, families, and staff alike.

“At Homeplace of Henderson, we believe care goes beyond meeting needs—it’s about creating a true home,” said Grace Glenn, Director of Sales and Marketing “Being chosen for this documentary affirms what we strive for every day: a place where people feel valued, supported, and part of a family.”

People Worth Caring About explores the human side of caregiving, capturing real stories of compassion, resilience, and connection. Homeplace of Henderson’s inclusion highlights its commitment to fostering an environment where residents are treated with kindness, respect, and heartfelt attention.

From the moment you walk through the doors, Glenn said Homeplace of Henderson reflects a culture rooted in warmth and togetherness. Staff members build meaningful relationships with residents, creating a sense of comfort and trust that extends to families and loved ones. This family atmosphere is what sets Homeplace apart and makes it a cornerstone of the Henderson community.

The documentary crew will spend time capturing everyday moments at Homeplace—shared laughter, supportive care, and the small gestures that make a big difference. These moments reflect the essence of what makes Homeplace of Henderson a truly special place.

“We are honored to represent Kentucky in this important project,” added Jessica Beaven, Executive Director “Our team’s dedication and our residents’ stories deserve to be seen and celebrated.”

The documentary is expected to bring greater awareness to the vital role of long-term care communities and the people who make them extraordinary. The Kentucky season of People Worth Caring About is expected to premiere in November 2026.
