HENDERSON, KY, March 24, 2026– The City of Henderson’s Parks & Recreation department will hide 16,000 eggs for hunting during the City’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28.

The free event is set to take place in Newman Park, located just off Sand Lane. There will be a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny starting at 9:30 a.m. with the Egg Hunt beginning at 10 a.m.

Children ages 3-12 are invited to participate. There will also be an opportunity for adults to participate in a separate egg hunt.

To ensure a fun and fair experience for everyone, participants will be divided into age groups:

  • 5 years old and under
  • 6-8 years old
  • 9-12 years old
  • 18 and older (including adults)

Each age group will have three prize-winning eggs. If participants find an egg with a winning ticket inside, they’ll win one of the group prizes: grand, medium, or small.

Children who wish to take part in the egg hunt should arrive ten minutes before the event’s 10 a.m. start time. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
