HAWESVILLE, Ky. (March 26, 2026) – A Hancock County man has been arrested on charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch arrested Carl Wayne Warner, 34, on charges related to child sexual abuse material on Tuesday.
Warner was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a Hawesville residence on Tuesday. KSP seized equipment used in the crime and sent it to the forensic lab for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Warner is currently charged with ten counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old. These charges are Class-C felonies, punishable by five to ten years in prison.
Warner was lodged in the Breckenridge County Detention Center.
