Linda Mae Basham, 85, of Henderson, KY, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1940, in Henderson to the late Clifford and Lena Cox.

Linda spent her entire life in Henderson where she built a life centered around family, friendship, and simple joys. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest happiness in the people she loved. To have known her was to love her. She was compassionate yet strong-willed; qualities which left a lasting impression on everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Theresa Smith, her granddaughter Christina Duncan, and her siblings: Kenneth Cox, Larry Cox, Doey Turner, Judy Marshall, and Glen Cox. Linda was also preceded in death by Robert “Bobby” Basham, her former husband and father of her children, whom she devoted her life to.

She is survived by her three daughters: Pam Daniel, Lynn Jackson, and Lori Lawless and her spouse, Gerald, all of Henderson, KY; and brother Darell Cox, Henderson, KY. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Charlie Ivie, Harvey Ivie Jr., Joseph Ivie Amanda Jackson, Keri Jackson, Miranda Jackson, Conner Jackson, Maegan Fulkerson, Samantha Thompson, Carson Higgs, Shon Higgs, Jeffery Lawless, and Emily Mattingly; along with many beloved great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Linda had a love for life’s simple pleasures. She especially enjoyed trips to the Great Smoky Mountains with her daughters, something she looked forward to doing as often as she could. She loved playing Bingo, sewing, and gardening. More than anything, she loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She treasured the friendships she built with those around her at Regency Apartments, where she created many lasting connections.

Linda worked for many years at Period Table Furniture and later retired from Vincent Plastics. She was known for her strong work ethic and her caring nature. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the memories she created will continue to live on through her family forever.
