HENDERSON, Ky. — Henderson Community College is now accepting registrations for its MAINTech program, a free, six-week workforce training boot camp designed to prepare participants for careers in manufacturing and industrial settings. Classes begin June 15.
MAINTech, which stands for Multi-skilled Advanced Industrial Maintenance Training, is a hands-on, non-credit program that combines classroom instruction, technical training and career exploration to help participants build foundational skills for today’s workforce. The program is offered at no cost to eligible participants and is designed for individuals seeking career advancement, recent high school graduates and those interested in entering the manufacturing field.
Through MAINTech, students gain an OSHA 10 certification, practical experience in workplace safety, lean operations, problem-solving and the use of general hand and power tools. The curriculum also emphasizes workplace principles such as teamwork, communication, accountability and professionalism.
“MAINTech is about creating opportunity and awareness for students, adult workers and learners, and local industries,” said Workforce Solutions Coordinator Tiffany Jackson. “We want people to see that there are real options for them to create meaningful careers right here in our region. Henderson Community College is committed to helping build those connections and supporting students as they work toward their goals in the most affordable and accessible way possible.”
Seats for the June 15 cohort are limited and filling quickly. Individuals interested in participating can register online using the MAINTech Registration Form.
