Henderson Police Department has arrested several people following a fight that broke out involving juveniles and adults in Kimmel Park.
Officers were dispatched to Henderson Deaconess Hospital at about 9:41 p.m. Tuesday after receiving word that someone had been stabbed in the leg.
Officers learned a fight involving multiple juveniles and adults occurred at Kimmel Park, which left one teenager hospitalized with a stab wound.
The investigation revealed two juvenile females had arranged to meet at Kimmel Park to settle an ongoing dispute. The physical fight escalated rapidly when adults became involved in the altercation.
Cell phone video footage captured portions of the incident, confirming the presence of the weapon. Following the altercation, several involved parties fled the scene.
Based on probable cause established, the Henderson Police Department has arrested multiple parties involved:
Juvenile suspect: Assault 2nd Degree and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree for intentionally stabbing the victim.
Seva McGriff, 36: Unlawful Transaction with a minor 2nd Degree, for knowingly bringing a juvenile to the park to engage in a physical fight resulting in a felony charge.
Ramekia Joachim (Adult): Unlawful Transaction with a minor 3rd Degree, for knowingly bringing a juvenile to the park to engage in a physical fight.
Presumption of Innocence Notice: The fact that a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
