HMP&L continues its reconductoring project this week – focusing on work along Sand Lane in and around the Madison Street area.
Motorists may encounter work zone traffic control measures in place with one lane traffic along portions of that route from time to time as poles and power lines continue to be replaced.
People should be extra cautious when driving through this area and obey traffic control flagmen.
The projects total work area will run 1.3 miles from the substation just east of the Borax Dr./US 41A-60 intersection and head north on South Green St. to the intersection with Sand Lane.
From that intersection, the project continues east a distance of one mile on Sand Lane ending at HMP&L’s substation just west of the Atkinson St. intersection.
Work on the project is expected to last through the end of July. Work is slated to be performed from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
