Authorities have arrested two men in connection with a recovered vehicle that was reported stolen from Wright Street sometime overnight between July 6 and July 7.
Using Flock camera technology, Henderson Police Department and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office learned that the stolen vehicle traveled north out of Henderson during the overnight hours but was seen returning to Henderson the following morning.
Officers attempted a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle, but the vehicle fled. The vehicle crashed a short time later, and both occupants fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, both suspects were taken into custody.
Property belonging to the stolen vehicle was recovered from both individuals.
Steven Robinson, 24, and Gerald Winter, 18, were arrested and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center on the following charges:
– Receiving Stolen Property ($10,000 or More)
– Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
– Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (On Foot)
– Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Failure to Render Aid or Assistance
